Treatment begins with creating an accurate digital 3D model of the teeth. Based on this model, specialized software is used to plan the movement of each tooth and calculate the entire path toward a correct bite and aligned teeth. After that, a series of custom-made clear aligners is produced, each programmed for precise micro-movements of the teeth.
The patient changes aligners sequentially, allowing the teeth to gradually move according to the treatment plan. Aligners are worn for 20–22 hours per day and are removed only during meals and oral hygiene. Each set of aligners is typically worn for 7–14 days.

Our Approach
Unlike the standard orthodontic approach, we do not limit treatment to simply aligning teeth. We assess the function of the lower jaw, chewing muscles, and the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), and incorporate this data into the digital planning of tooth movement with Invisalign.
Below are two key reasons why we consider this approach essential:
We do not begin aligner treatment without evaluating the condition of the TMJ, the function of the chewing muscles, and the movement trajectory of the lower jaw. It is important not only to align the teeth, but also to train the lower jaw to function correctly and ensure balanced muscle activity.
Before treatment begins, a gnathologist performs axiography, combining CBCT data, a photo protocol, and axiographic analysis. Using specialized software, the doctor studies how the lower jaw moves and determines its correct, comfortable position.
The orthodontic treatment plan is then built not only around straight teeth, but also around proper function.
For adult patients, prosthetic rehabilitation may be required to stabilize the bite height.
Over time, due to an improper bite, teeth can wear down and lose their natural anatomy. These restorations are planned in advance, already at the diagnostic stage.
As a result, the patient receives not only straight teeth, but full rehabilitation of the entire dentofacial system.
What Happens During the First Consultation
The initial consultation lasts approximately 1 hour. It is not just a conversation — it includes CBCT imaging, 3D scanning of the dental arches, and a clinical photo protocol. Without a comprehensive examination, it is impossible to accurately assess all aspects of the bite and jaw function.
We use a CBCT scanner that allows us to visualize the entire skull, temporomandibular joints, jaws, and even the cervical spine. There are only two such CBCT devices in the UAE: one is installed in our clinic, and the other is located at the University of Sharjah. It features a very low radiation dose, making it safe even for pregnant women and children.
We create a detailed 3D model of your jaw and teeth using a specialized digital scanner. The scan results are uploaded into Invisalign’s ClinCheck® software, where the doctor plans the movement of each tooth with precision down to fractions of a millimeter. Patients can preview the expected result before starting treatment.
TENS helps relax the chewing muscles and determine the physiologically correct position of the lower jaw, which is then used in treatment planning.
A diagnostic method that accurately records the movement trajectory of the lower jaw and evaluates the function of the temporomandibular joint.
We take detailed photos of the face and teeth from multiple angles. This helps establish an accurate diagnosis, develop a precise treatment plan, and monitor tooth movement at every stage. Short video recordings allow us to assess facial expressions, lip position, and facial symmetry in motion.
Only after completing all diagnostic stages do we develop a preliminary treatment plan and provide estimated timelines. Our goal is to give the patient a complete and clear understanding of their case. Even if the patient is not ready to start treatment immediately and decides after a couple of weeks, this is not a problem: all diagnostic data has already been collected, and we can proceed directly to finalizing the treatment plan.
Treatment Stages
The initial consultation lasts approximately 1 hour. It is not just a discussion — the consultation includes 3D scanning, a clinical photo protocol, and CBCT imaging. Without a comprehensive examination, it is impossible to fully assess all issues related to your bite and jaw function.

We present a 3D simulation of tooth movement, explain how the treatment will proceed, what results to expect, and how long it will take. We also discuss which teeth will have attachments placed.
Attachments are placed, and the patient receives their set of aligners. The doctor provides detailed instructions on how to wear, remove, and care for the aligners. Aligners are typically worn 20–22 hours per day. Each set is used for 7–14 days — the exact duration is determined by the orthodontist.
The patient attends scheduled check-ups. The doctor monitors whether tooth movement is progressing as planned and makes adjustments if necessary.
The doctor provides a removable retainer, which is worn at night. The duration of use will be determined individually.

Before putting your aligners back on, it is recommended to brush your teeth to prevent plaque buildup under the trays.
They help remove food particles between teeth and reduce the risk of cavities and gum inflammation.
During orthodontic treatment, regular professional dental cleanings are recommended.
After removing and before wearing them again, rinse your aligners with water.
Gently clean aligners using a soft toothbrush with a small amount of non-abrasive toothpaste or in a mild soapy solution.
Hot water can deform the plastic and alter the shape of the aligners.
When not in use, keep aligners in a special container to avoid loss or damage.
